TL;DR: The Magic: The Gathering Star Trek Play Booster Box is on sale for $129.95 at Amazon, down from its $209.70 list price.
Anyone who resisted picking up Magic: The Gathering’s Star Trek Play Booster Box when it went on sale last month has had their patience rewarded, because now, with the sci-fi trading card crossover’s release just seven days away, the expansion’s 30-pack box has had another price cut.
As of Nov. 6, the Magic: The Gathering Star Trek Play Booster Box has reached a new record-low preorder price of $129.95 at Amazon, a generous $79.75 below the $209.70 list price. At 38% off, you’re effectively spending just $4.33 per pack.
For comparison, that’s a $35.66 savings compared to when we covered the lowest preorder price of $165.61 on Oct. 5. As confirmed by the price tracker camelcamelcamel, this is indeed the cheapest the MTG box has been sold for on Amazon.
To be clear, this deal is coming from third-party seller NCC & Games rather than Amazon directly — with delivery set for as soon as Nov. 16, a few days after the set’s Nov. 13 release date. You can buy the listing, which is sold and shipped by Amazon, for a slightly more expensive $145.61, and it also comes with its handy preorder price guarantee.
Inside are 30 Play Boosters with 14 cards apiece, bringing together iconic Star Trek captains, spacecraft, and other favorites from the franchise’s six decades. Each pack promises a Traditional Foil and one to four rare or higher-rarity cards, with special-border treatments and alternate artwork offering some extra surprises for collectors.
