Destined Rivals has become a Pokémon TCG expansion that’s shot up massively in price, the more obscure it’s become in favor of newer collections. Still, a new Amazon price drop means you can save slightly more than the market value.
The Pokémon TCG Scarlet & Violet Destined Rivals Elite Trainer Box is currently $115.98 at Amazon, shaving $6.01 off the retailer’s $121.99 typical price.
That’s not only cheaper than the $129.99 price we covered for this ETB in August; this one’s also being shipped and sold by Amazon, rather than a third party.
More importantly, $115.98 is now $2.23 below TCGplayer’s $118.21 market price. The trading card selling platform does have these ETB boxes listed for under-market prices as well, but adding $2 shipping brings the total to $118.73.
There are nine Destined Rivals booster packs inside the ETB, putting Amazon’s price at roughly $12.89 per pack before factoring in everything else bundled with it. You also get the full-art foil Team Rocket’s Wobbuffet promo, 65 sleeves, 45 Energy cards, seven dice, two condition markers, four dividers, a player’s guide, a storage box, and a Pokémon TCG Live code card.
Walmart narrowly beats Amazon on sticker price at $115.49, although that listing comes from third-party seller Cataclysm Games and is fulfilled by Walmart. That said, it’s a great go-to if you either want to save as much as possible or if Amazon runs out of stock.
With those nine packs, you’ve got nine opportunities to pull some of the expansion’s most in-demand chase cards — including SIR Team Rocket’s Mewtwo ex, SIR Cynthia’s Garchamp ex, and SIR Ethan’s Ho-Oh ex — currently worth up to $450.
